As we already know, Steam doesn’t just offer an extensive collection of top-tier Triple-A titles, but it also showcases some of the most impressive Indie games on the rise. Here are some of the good ones we recommend.
A multitude of these amazing games come with multiplayer components, so a player-versus-environment (PvE), player-versus-player (PvP), or a combination of both are always available.
- Rocket League: First up on our list of exciting multiplayer games is Rocket League. One may ask what the game is about, and well, just imagine soccer, but maybe replace the sprawly players with rocket-powered cars! That’s right folks, Rocket League introduces an electrifying blend of high-speed gameplay, with a tinge of soccer-inspired mechanics. Players team up and fly rocket-powered vehicles, rushing to score goals against opposing teams.
- Cuphead: Cuphead stands out as one of the MOST visually captivating games in the current gaming landscape. Its art style, a nostalgic throwback to old-school cartoon shows, gives off a unique and visually stunning aesthetic that players can’t seem to get enough of. Cuphead includes an option for cooperative play, letting players team up and go on an adventure together. This cooperative approach not only adds a layer of teamwork to the experience but also enables it’s players to tackle the game's demanding levels with a friend by their side (to possibly rage with).
- Red Dead Online: In Red Dead Online, players are bound to get immersed in a unique character creation process, where you guys can forge a persona that grows and evolves through its own journey. With numerous characters drawn from the single-player campaign, Red Dead Online extends the immersive game world, giving you guys the sensation of continuing their exploration within a vast and intricate universe.
- Dead by Daylight: This genre is very unique in itself, as it lets it’s players choose if they want to hunt or BE hunted. The game draws its character’s inspiration from existing horror tropes, while also bring "branded" killers and survivors through crossover events. You might’ve heard about Sadako (the girl from the ring) or Amanda Young (from the saw movies) and Ghostface from the Scream movies. The basic funda of the game, survivors repair generators without messing up and open the exit gate before time runs out, and hunter actively seeking out survivors and sacrificing them to the entity.
- Phasmophobia: Another horror game on the list, Phasmophobia is a 4 player survival game which would let you live out your Ghostbuster fantasies. Players team up to scavenge through a haunted house and collect evidences of the ghost to figure out what type of ghost it is. All in all an amazing brain-cranked as long as you don’t instigate the ghost too much and end up getting hunted.
If you guys haven’t tried these games yet, you’re definitely missing out on the wonders the gaming world has to offer. Steam offers sales on most games every now and then, so don’t forget to keep an eye open for some steals on your favourite pricey games!
