  • Group Stage - Phase 1: August 21 - 7 am PT to 1 pm PT
  • Group Stage - Phase 1: August 22 - 7 am PT to 10:45 am PT
  • Group Stage - Phase 2: August 22 - 10:45 am PT to 1:30 pm PT
  • Group Stage - Phase 2: August 23 - 8 am PT to 9:45 am PT
  • TEKKEN 8 Playoffs: August 23 - 10 am PT to 12:30 pm PT

The TEKKEN 8 event began with the Group Stage on August 21. The TEKKEN 8 Playoffs will begin on August 23, with the top competitors fighting to make it to the Grand Finals and win a large share of the $1,000,000 USD prize pool.

EWC TEKKEN 8 Format

Phase 1: 4 players in 8 groups, GSL style, double-elimination, Ft2
Top 2 advance, others are eliminated
Phase 2: 4 players in 4 groups, GSL style, double-elimination, Ft2
Top 2 advance, others are eliminated
Phase 3: Single-elimination bracket, Ft5
The tournament format has three phases. Phase 1 sees four players in eight groups play in a GSL-style, double-elimination bracket, with matches being the first in two (Ft2). Two players then advance to the competition. Next, Phase 2 follows the same format. However, it consists of four groups. The final phase is a single-elimination bracket with matches being the first in five (Ft5).

  • Place 3-4: $75,000
  • Place 5-8: $45,000
  • Place 9-12: $20,000
  • Place 13-16: $12,500
