The Last of Us x Mario Kart: Pedro Pascal pulls off hilarious SNL sketch as a gritty Mario

There’s a new SNL sketch on Mario and this one is actually funny. Saturday Night Live was recently hosted by Pedro Pascal who has pulled off a new Mario sketch with utmost brilliance. 

The Last of Us x Mario Kart 

Well, the new Mario Kart sketch is fresh and a masterpiece overall. It reimagines Mario and his world as gritty and grim as one can imagine. Pedro Pascal pulls off the sketch which is full of clever nods and references to HBO’s The Last of Us. 

The sketch intertwines the plot of The Last of Us with that of the Mario Kart games and the result of it is parody trailer that makes me want to pay for an eventual movie.

Elon Musk's awkward Mario skit

For those unfamiliar, SNL was once hosted by a certain billionaire who now owns Twitter. Elon Musk not only hosted the show but also acted in a skit called ‘Wario’. If you’ve seen it, you’d know why it was seen as problematic and controversial by a lot of folks on the internet. 

If you’ve not seen it, it’s probably best to keep it that way but here’s the link to it if you really want to test if it matches your humour. A majority of the audience didn’t particularly like the Wario sketch. That’s exactly where the Wario meme of Elon Musk comes from as well.
