1. The Last of Us Part 3 still a possibility but Uncharted storyline is finished, reveals Naughty Dog president Neil Druckmann

Naughty Dog president Neil Druckmann revealed that the studio does not feel compelled to make The Last of Us Part 3. He also revealed that Naughty Dog is moving on from the Uncharted series and will not be telling more stories from the universe of Uncharted. Druckmann says The Last of Us Part 3 will only happen if there’s a compelling story to tell. 

2. Far Cry 7 and a multiplayer Far Cry game reportedly in development 

Ubisoft is reportedly working on two Far Cry games, as per Insider Gaming. One of those games will be single-player while the other game would offer multiplayer experience. 

The single-player project has been codenamed Project Blackbird while the multiplayer Far Cry is being called Project Maverick. As per report, Ubisoft Montreal is actively involved in the development of both of these upcoming Far Cry games.

3. Redfall and Hogwarts Legacy co-developer Studio Gobo is now working on Sony’s Horizon

Redfall and Hogwarts Legacy co-developer Studio Gobo have announced on Thursday that they’ll now be working with Guerrilla Games for Sony’s Horizon universe. 

“We’re thrilled to share that Studio Gobo is now a Guerrilla co-development partner on the Horizon universe,” said the studio.

 

4. Amazon Prime Gaming February 2023 games revealed

Amazon Prime Gaming has announced the list of free games available in February 2023. These games are available for free for all Prime members.

5. The Last of Us season two is ‘likely’, Bella Ramsey says

Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in The Last of Us show, sat down with the BBC and said that The Last of Us Season 2 is ‘likely’. She said, “If people keep watching, I think [a second series] is pretty likely. It’s down to the guys at HBO.”

However, she also added that there is “nothing confirmed yet so we’ll have to wait and see.”

6. Mortal receives a permanent ban on Valorant account

Naman ‘MortaL’ Mathur, has received a permanent ban on his Valorant account. The popular streamer discovered on his livestream that his Valorant account had been permanently banned. MortaL has raised an appeal to Riot Games to look into the situation. 

 

 

MortaL disclosed that one of his moderators has access to his Valorant account when questioned if anyone else uses it. He wasn't sure if that individual had played any matches from his account since the last time he used it. He also stated that he has full trust in his moderator.

7. The Day Before has been delayed to November due to a trademark dispute

The Day Before, one of the most awaited games on Steam, has been delayed to November 2023. The reason being a trademark dispute as an individual from South Korea filed for the trademark in May 2021, four months after the game was first announced but surprisingly before the studio. 

 

 

This trademark was filed in the US with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and got granted in November 2022. 

8. Age of Empires 2, Hi-Fi Rush and GoldenEye 007 coming to Xbox Game Pass

Xbox Developer_Direct took place on January 26 and it unveiled Hi-Fi Rush as a brand-new Xbox first-party title. Xbox has also revealed a list of new games heading to the Xbox Game Pass.

9. PlayStation head Jim Ryan reportedly met EU antitrust head to talk about Microsoft-Activision deal

Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan met with EU antitrust boss Margrethe Vestager on Wednesday, as per Reuters. The duo allegedly met to discuss Microsoft‘s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Reuters said their source did not disclose details about the conversation. 

10. EA confirms Dead Space has a secret ending and New Game Plus

The Dead Space remake has a secret ending and includes a New Game Plus mode. There’s also a Level 6 Advanced Suit and new Phantom Variant Necromorphs added in the game. 

 

 

This alternate ending was discovered when Exophase revealed the game’s trophy list and this leak got confirmed by EA through their social media before the game’s release.
