Nova Esports has listed Jimmy, the IGL of the PUBG Mobile lineup for the PEL auction 2023. The base price set for the player is 4 million Chinese Yuan which when converted to Indian rupees in INR 4.73 Crores.
The legendary PUBG Mobile lineup of Nova Esports might soon come to an end as its in-game leader Xu "Jimmy" Yinjun has been listed for the Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) auctions in 2023. Nova Jimmy has been one of the most successful IGLs in the history of PUBG Mobile Esports. The player has been listed with a hefty bidding amount of 4 million Chinese yuan, or INR 4.73 crore.
Nova Esports has been the two-time PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) champion under the leadership of Jimmy. Apart from Jimmy, the team consists of one of the best sets of PUBG Mobile players to date, including Zhu "Paraboy" Bocheng, Zeng "Order" Zehai, and Lin "King" Yien. The team has been playing together for more than four years, resulting in a great synergy that they showcase during the intense situations in PUBG Mobile competitive.
The time is here for PEL auctions in 2023, and multiple esports organisations have listed their players in the bidding list with a certain base price. The players get listed based on mutual agreement with their respective esports organisations, especially when they fail to perform for them.
Nova's performance in recent tournaments, including PEL Spring 2023 and the PMGC Grand Finals 2022, was not up to par, as the team finished in 11th and 9th place, respectively. This might be one of the reasons for releasing the best IGL from the OG lineup of Nova Esports. However, nobody can deny the fact that Jimmy's leadership has seen Nova finish on the podium in most of the S-Tier tournaments. Whether it's defeating the Chinese competition or displaying sheer dominance at the global level, Jimmy's IGling left no room for the critics to put a question mark on his skills.
Since it is time to say goodbye to Nova Esports for Jimmy, it would be interesting to see which team picks him in the future. According to the posts on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, Jimmy has been giving tryouts in TJB and TC. In fact, TJB has shown more interest in getting Jimmy for their PUBG Mobile lineup.
Jimmy's name on the list came as a big surprise for PUBG Mobile fans and players around the globe, as they were not expecting Nova Esports to release their IGL. Tanmay "Scout" Singh, the owner of TeamX Spark, reacted to the news and said that it's hard to accept the fact that Jimmy will be leaving Nova Esports.
