The peak of Valorant esports has arrived. Valorant Champions 2024 marks the climax of a year-long global competiton. Sixteen top-tier teams from international leagues have earned their spots in this tournament.
These teams exemplify the pinnacle of Valorant esports, demonstrating outstanding skill and teamwork.
Seoul, South Korea, will be the host for this grand showdown. Only one team out of sixteen will emerge as the ultimate champions of Valorant.
Let us first know, what is Valorant Champions Seoul 2024?
Valorant Cahmpions is Riot Games’ annual world championship for competitive Valorant and the 2024 edition stamps its fourth year.
Sixteen teams—four from each of the VCT’s international leagues (Pacific, Americas, China, and EMEA)—will compete against each other for the world championship title. These teams earned their places through intense competition in the Kickoff, International Leagues, and Masters events held previously.
In Seoul, the opening stages will be at the COEX Atrium, a venue with over 800 seats that is known for its concerts.
The Finals will move to the famed Inspire Arena, a state-of-the-art 15,000-seat venue famous for hosting popular K-pop gigs.
Valorant Champions 2024 Format:
The tournament starts with the group stage where sixteen teams are divided into four groups of four. Every group has a double-elimination bracket, that means teams are terminated after two losses.
All group stage matches are on best-of-three basis. Top two teams from each group will move forward to the playoffs. The eight teams proceeding from the group stage will advance through a double-elimination bracket.
All playoff matches except for the lower bracket final and the grand finale will be best-of-three. The lower bracket final and the grand final are best-of-five series.
