Apex Legends Mobile limited beta testing starts in India; Here is how to download the game

Game publisher EA and developer Respawn has just kick-started the limited beta testing for its recently announced Apex Legends Mobile. As per the announcement, the developer sent out a limited number of invites to pre-registered gamers in the Indian market. The closed beta program rolled out about a week after the company first outlined the details around the title including screenshots, and pre-registration listing. This program is currently available for Android users in India. However, the number of compatible devices seems to be extremely limited during the first wave of beta testing. Apex Legends Mobile limited beta live in India; details

The closed beta program for the upcoming smartphone Battle Royale title landed on April 28, 2021. EA and Respawn send out download invites for the program to a limited set of users at random. Though, the scope of these invites was limited to pre-registered users from Google Play Store. One could not grab the APK from other sources online to play the beta version of the game. Respawn have already outlined that they will gradually expand this beta program to add more players, regions, and devices. As we noted in the announcement post, EA will also bring the close beta test to the Philippines later in May.

Hours after the start of the program, we saw the initial gameplay videos for the title. Some of these players also noted that the game is too early in the development process and lacked some components. These missing elements include the ability to adjust the graphics quality of the game. However, the title came with many familiar aspects that we have already seen in other versions of Apex Legends. After inspecting the screenshots, we found the UI in line with what we have seen in PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty: Mobile.

As noted above, this initial round of Apex Legends Mobile beta testing was limited to a comparatively much smaller number of gamers. A small ground of pre-registered players received the notification around download and installation from EA. The game publisher also stated that the program operated on a first-come and first-serve basis. So, to download the title, one needs to “Pre-Register” for the title from the official Google Play Listing for Apex Legends Mobile. After the pre-registration, one should wait for the second wave when EA adds support for more devices and more players.
