Indus is available for pre-registration on Google Play for Android. To celebrate this milestone, SuperGaming is expanding the Indus beta programme to accommodate more players
India's game developer SuperGaming has revealed that its upcoming Indo-Futuristic battle royale Indus has over 10 million pre-registrations via Google Play for Android devices. This follows the company’s closed beta program for Android users to play the game in February.
“When we first started building Indus we didn’t think we’d hit 10 million pre-registrations before launch,” says Roby John, CEO and co-founder of SuperGaming. “What we didn’t count on was the overwhelming support of the gaming community that pushed us forward. Thank you for building India’s gaming revolution with us.
To celebrate this milestone, SuperGaming will expand its beta programme with 200,000 beta keys to be distributed. In addition to this, there will be new rewards including unique skins, charms, and more.
“While we can’t get all 10 million of you to play Indus just yet, we’re doing our best to give out more beta keys to meet the unprecedented demand. Stay tuned to our social channels and Discord for more ways to play,” says Roby John
Players will be able to drop onto Virlok, Indus’ map, and experience all the action for themselves on their own devices. The Indus Battle Royale Beta includes the complete battle royale experience as well as several new features tested and improved upon through previous Indus Community Playtests, the Indus Esports Invitational, as well as the recent Indus Unchained Esports Tournament that concluded last week, details of which you can check out here:

Indus Battle Royale Extended Trailer
Along with this, SuperGaming revealed a new feature called Grudge through an extended trailer that's now available in multiple languages. These include:
● Kannada
● Malayalam
● Tamil
● Telugu
As well as English and Hindi.
How the Grudge System works
The Grudge System is available when you are defeated by another player during a match. At the end of the match, you have the choice to hold a Grudge against your rival. If you accept it, then you hold a Grudge against them. This gameplay feature ensures that the two players are matched preferentially in future matches. In the next match, you receive rewards if you successfully eliminate the player who defeated you previously.
These rewards could include cosmetics and other in-game elements. The trailer also reinforces the game's unique Cosmium win condition wherein players don't have to be the last one standing to win.
Indus Battle Royale Beta Android System Requirements
Powered by the Indus Engine, SuperGaming’s in-house custom tech stack, Indus currently runs at greater than 40fps on 2022 low-end Android devices with 4GB RAM along with several visual details such as environments and shadows dialled back as per internal testing. 2023 Android flagships achieve 60fps with every visual detail set to the maximum in internal tests as well.
This makes Indus playable on smartphones priced at about Rs. 8,000 (around $100), making it widely accessible to players the world over, opening up a large market for worldwide adoption.
SuperGaming is continuously optimising Indus to support more low-end devices. Most smartphones bought in 2020 and onwards should be able to run at playable frame rates.
Visual fidelity may vary based on the exact hardware in use as well as user-customised graphics settings.
