2XKO Closed Beta: Everything You Need to Know

Riot Games is finally giving fighting game fans a chance to throw down in 2XKO, their upcoming 2v2 brawler set in the League of Legends universe. If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on it, the good news is here! The Closed Beta officially kicks off on September 9, and this time, it’s not going anywhere. 

Where Can You Play?

For now, the Closed Beta is PC-only, so console players will need to hang tight a little longer. But don’t worry, cross-progression is built into the game, meaning you can start your journey on PC and pick up right where you left off on console when that version drops later.

 

 

How to Get Access

Getting into the 2XKO Closed Beta is pretty simple. Just head over to Riot’s official sign-up page and register using your Riot account and a valid email. After that, you’ll get a short survey which you have to fill it out to be eligible for the beta invite.

One more thing: if you were part of Alpha Lab 1 or 2, you’re already in. No need to sign up again, you’ll automatically be included in the Closed Beta when it launches. Smooth.

Vi Joins the Roster

Alongside the beta date announcement, Riot also dropped some hype news! Vi is officially in the game. Honestly, it was only a matter of time. With her heavy-hitting punches and street brawler vibes, she feels like a natural fit for a fighting game.

Full Roster So Far

With Vi in, the launch roster for the beta is now up to eight champions:

• Ahri
• Braum
• Darius
• Ekko
• Illaoi
• Yasuo
• Jinx
• Vi

 

Jinx made her debut just before Vi was announced, but since Alpha Lab 2 was a much smaller test group, a lot of people didn’t get a chance to play her. If you’re curious, Riot has dropped a few gameplay clips showing her in action.

2XKO is shaping up to be something really exciting, a tag-team fighter that blends League flair with fighting game mechanics. You should definitely tune in if you're a longtime LoL fan or just looking to try something new!
