Aggro Crab and Landfall Reveal New Co-Op Climbing Game “PEAK,” Launching June 16

The indie studio of Aggro Crab, which achieved massive success with its creative soulslike Another Crab's Treasure, is ready to launch a novel cooperative game named PEAK. With the creative brains at Landfall, PEAK will be released, on PC (Steam), on June 16, 2025. By combining the aspects of both physics and survival genres, the game brings a new twist to the co-op genre.

PEAK features players as missing nature scouts who are abandoned in a Lost Island that is dominated by a huge Big Mountain. It just so happens, that the future final destination is the end brought about by these present actions. Live and make it to die to the top. Four players have the opportunity to collaborate in reaching the mountain peak online, encountering hazardous landscapes and erratic weather conditions on the way. Solo adventurers have not been left behind as even the game especially comes with a single-player mode which presents the same form of intense hurdling.

It is not an easy climb. Having procedurally generated landscape that is different every day, means that players will have to improvise, and every climb will present different layout and dangers. There are four different biomes to the environment that all create different challenges, whether it is ice, rocky walls or wind changes.
That is one of the central mechanics in PEAK, survival. Players have to monitor their stamina, mend injuries, and make rational use of such items as climbing ropes, spikes, food, and energy drinks. There is a stress factor of limited resources which needs intelligent thinking and collaboration between teammates.

As a reward of progression, this game has unlockable cosmetics and collectable merit badges to award your character and put your stamp on the game, along with achievements as a sign of hard work in climbing.

An extremely proactive campaign has been carried out by Aggro Crab and Landfall, showing the cooperative nature and the humor of the game on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. With the upcoming release, the hype is still growing among the fans of the weird, team-based indie experiences.
