Attack on Titan became a global hit with its intense story and unforgettable characters. Here’s the best way to watch it from start to finish.

Attack on Titan ended in late 2023. It made a big mark in anime history. The show started in the early 2010s and quickly became a global hit. It involved humans living beyond giant walls. They fought to survive against giant monsters that eat humans, called Titans.

Attack on Titan is based on a manga by Hajime Isayama. It's known for its big plot twist, emotional moments, and epic actions. Over time, it grew with special episodes, spin-offs, and live-action movies. There’s a lot to watch if you’re a fan! New to the show? You might ask: How do I watch it all?

Simple Watch Order

Don’t worry, the main story is pretty straightforward. Here’s the easiest way to watch:

Season 1 (Episodes 1-25)
– Meet Eren, Mikasa, and Armin.
– Next, watch these OVAs: Ilse’s Notebook, The Sudden Visitor, and Distress.

Season 2 (Episodes 26-37)
– After this, watch Lost Girls OVA episodes 1 and 2 (extra side stories).

Season 3 Part 1 (Episodes 38-49)
– Then, watch the No Regrets OVAs and Lost Girls episode 3.
– (Note: There’s also a funny spin-off called Attack on Titan: Junior High, but it’s not needed.)

Season 3 Part 2 (Episodes 50-59)
– Big story twists happen here!

Season 4 Part 1 (Episodes 60-75)
– Story shifts to a new setting.

Season 4 Part 2 (Episodes 76-87)
– Everything gets even more intense.

Final Chapters (Episodes 88-94)
– The emotional ending of the whole story.

(Optional):

There’s a movie called The Last Attack — but it just retells the ending. You can skip it if you've already finished the anime.

The live-action movies are very different and not well-loved. Watch only if you're curious.

The OVAs (specials) aren’t required, but they add cool background stories about certain characters. You can enjoy the main story just fine without them.

Watching in English

You can watch the English dub on Crunchyroll. But from Season 1 Episode 4 onward, you’ll need a premium account.

When Attack on Titan ended, it delivered one of the most emotional finales in anime. Studio MAPPA stayed true to the manga’s ending, with a few changes that made it even sadder. The final scenes between Eren and Mikasa especially broke many fans’ hearts.

Even though it’s a dark and tragic story, Attack on Titan built a world and characters that fans will never forget. If you’re starting it now, this watch order will help you experience the full impact of this legendary anime.
