Get exclusive early access to the next Battlefield game through Battlefield Labs! Learn how to sign up, what to expect, and how your feedback will shape the game.

The next Battlefield game is on the horizon, and while we don’t have an official release date, EA has finally given fans a behind-the-scenes look at what’s coming. Battlefield Labs, a brand-new playtesting program, will let select players test and provide feedback on an early pre-alpha version of the game.

If you want a chance to play Battlefield before anyone else, here’s everything you need to know about signing up!

What is Battlefield Labs?

Battlefield Labs is EA’s new invite-only playtesting program designed to let players try out an early version of the next Battlefield game. Developers will use player feedback to fine-tune gameplay, fix issues, and make improvements before the official release.

Here’s what Battlefield Labs will focus on:

  • Combat mechanics
  • Destruction physics
  • Maps & game modes (Conquest, Breakthrough, and more!)
  • The return of the Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon class system
  • New weapons, vehicles, and gadgets

Who’s Making the Next Battlefield?

The new game is a major collaboration between DICE, Criterion, Motive, and Ripple Effect, all working together under the Battlefield Studios umbrella. Leading the charge is Vince Zampella, a key figure behind Call of Duty and Titanfall. With his experience, fans are hoping for a return to Battlefield’s classic, action-packed roots.

While rumors suggest the game could launch in 2025, EA hasn’t confirmed an exact date yet.

How to Sign Up for Battlefield Labs

Want to be one of the lucky few to test the game early? Here’s how to apply:

  1. Go to the Battlefield Labs website (official link to be announced by EA)
  2. Make sure your EA Account is updated and linked to your platform account (PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S)
  3. Submit your application and cross your fingers!

Important: Only players in Europe and North America can sign up for the initial test phase.

There’s no guarantee you’ll get selected, but EA plans to invite a few thousand players. If you’re chosen, you’ll receive an email from playtesting@ea.com with further instructions.

What to Expect in Battlefield Labs

Selected players will be able to:

  • Test weapons, vehicles, and new gameplay features
  • Experience Battlefield’s signature large-scale warfare
  • Provide direct feedback to developers

Your input will help shape the final game, so EA is counting on testers to share what works, what needs improvement, and what they love the most!

Final Thoughts

If you’re a Battlefield fan, this is an incredible opportunity to get hands-on experience with the next game before its official release. Keep an eye on EA’s announcements, and don’t forget to sign up if you want a shot at early access!
