Clash Royale has introduced a bold experiment impacting King Tower Levels 1-9. With the recent update, the battle reward system for these players is undergoing a temporary overhaul. Here's a breakdown of the changes that could redefine early-game progression.

Key Changes to Chests

Removed Chests:

  • Golden, Magical, and Giant Chests are temporarily removed from circulation.

These adjustments ensure the total reward value remains the same, offering players a refreshed experience during the trial period. Importantly, players at King Tower Level 10 and above are unaffected by these changes. Those reaching Level 10 during the experiment will revert to the usual chest unlock system.

Why This Experiment? and What Players Should Know?

Since Clash Royale’s launch, the chest slot system has been a core mechanic. However, with new players entering the game, their expectations have evolved. This experiment aims to test whether reworking the chest mechanics improves engagement and satisfaction for beginners. The findings will help Supercell refine the reward system, aligning it with modern player preferences.

  • The contents of all chests have been adjusted to maintain their overall value.
  • This is a test, and the changes are not permanent.
  • Developers are committed to using the experiment's insights to enhance the game experience.
