As the new season comes, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 4 arrived with some more weapon changes again. Players gonna notice the differences right away in matches if they look closely. Here is the update on what guns got better and which ones got worse. The patch is not huge but is changing quite a few things.
Assault Rifles Got Some New Balance
The assault rifles that many people use, especially in ranked, seen some adjustments. Not all of them are big, but enough to be noticed.
-
Kastov 762 has reduced damage a bit now at longer distance. So it won’t melt people from across the map as easy like before.
-
M4 gets better now. Recoil is more stable so you can shoot straight more easily, especially for long bursts.
-
TAQ-56, which was already decent, now pulls up the speed on aiming-down-sight, so faster in reaction fights.
SMGs Are Kinda Quicker Now
SMGs which are more for close fights, has been boosted a little. They're now more fast-feeling overall.
-
Lachmann Sub moves faster and shoots quicker after sprinting. It helps a lot when pushing players or corners.
-
Vaznev-9k got a little longer damage range, so you can hit harder from further now (not too far though).
-
Fennec 45 now reloads faster than before, which helps in tight moments.
Snipers and Marksman See a Bit of Changes
These weapons used for long range play, some changes makes them more balanced or fair depending how you look at it.
-
MCPR-300 chest shot multiplier is not strong now, so you can't get 1-shot unless it’s a headshot mostly.
-
SP-X 80 has quicker bolt action now, which helps snipers take follow-up shots without waiting so long.
-
EBR-14 is better now with faster firing and less recoil, so it's more usable for aggressive marksman fans.
Shotguns & LMGs See Small Nerfs
To keep things fair, shotguns and LMGs also got nerfed. Maybe not too much but enough to change things a bit.
-
Lockwood 300 has less accuracy when not aiming and its range is lower too. So it’s harder to get easy kills now.
-
RAPP H, the LMG, is slowed down. Takes more time to aim and reload, so more tactical use is needed.
How the Meta Is Shaping Up
With these updates, gameplay meta moves to a bit more variety. SMGs are coming back to close-range battles, ARs are more even, and snipers are a little more skill-based now. Shotguns are weaker but still okay if used smart.
