BLAST Faces Legal Trouble After Replacing BESTIA at CS2 Austin Major

BLAST may face legal action after controversially replacing BESTIA with Legacy at the CS2 Austin Major, sparking backlash and calls for transparency.

BLAST is now facing legal issues after replacing BESTIA, the team from Argentina, with Legacy in the CS2 Austin Major. Many people in the community are confused and unhappy about it, saying it appears unfair. The situation quickly becomes messy, and lawyers are now involved.

BLAST Legal Trouble: Sudden Change Surprised Everyone

BESTIA made it to the Austin Major fair and square after playing well in the Americas RMR. But then, BLAST suddenly announced they were not going to be part of the Major anymore. Legacy was announced as the new team, without much explanation. BLAST just said there was “eligibility problems,” but didn’t share much detail.

People close to the team said BESTIA wasn’t told clearly what went wrong or why they were removed. That silence from BLAST made things worse and created lot of confusion and anger in the scene.

Lawyers Stepping In Now

A few days ago, BESTIA’s legal team said they are going to take legal steps against BLAST. According to them, removing the team in this way caused “serious damage” to both the players and the organization itself. They believe it was not only unfair, but also harmful to South America’s place in the CS2 esports scene.

In their statement, they also mention the possibility of seeking financial compensation and taking the case to arbitration through international esports rules. If that happens, it could be the first time a CS2 Major sees this kind of legal conflict.

Community Doesn’t Like It

After the news came out, many people in the CS2 community started speaking up. Popular players like FalleN and EliGE called out the decision, saying it was wrong and unfair. Fans have also showed support for BESTIA, using the hashtag #JusticeForBESTIA which became trending on social media platform X.

Some people also criticized Legacy, although the team didn’t do anything wrong by accepting the invite. The feeling among fans is more about how the whole situation was handled poorly.

BLAST Not Saying Much

So far, BLAST hasn’t given a detailed answer about why BESTIA was replaced. They only said that they followed the tournament rules, but didn’t explain what rule BESTIA actually broke or how Legacy was selected as a replacement.

With the Major happening soon, many are demanding answers. And if things don’t get solved quickly, this could turn into something much bigger. The tournament might be remembered more for this drama than for the matches themselves.
