Bloodgrounds Tactical RPG Announced with Brutal New Trailer and Free Demo on Steam

Now Daedalic Entertainment and the game developer team Exordium Games from Croatia have announced Bloodgrounds, a tactical RPG that look dark and full of violence. They released a new trailer that shows intense gameplay, and a demo is already there on Steam. The art got pixel style, but with a brutal feeling and lots of action going on.

Gladiators Are Fighting for Revenge

You play as someone who was before a slave, but now he has become rich and has started controlling a group of gladiators. The goal is revenge on emperor who doing bad things, and now the fights are happening in arena. You collect different types of fighters, some are doing magic, others is using heavy weapons. When someone in your team dies, they do not return. It’s permadeath, so battles feel like they matter more.

 Strategy Battles and Base Building

The gameplay uses turn-based system on grid. Positioning is important because you need to think before each move. There are traps, items, and even powers from the gods. Outside of battle, you also take care of your own base. You recruit gladiators, train them, and build or upgrade buildings. Even the small choices you make can affect future battles, so you need to plan carefully, but also can't predict everything.

Demo Letting Players Get Early Taste

They put a demo that is already available on Steam. It’s giving around 2.5 to 4 hours depending how the player play. The demo covers first part of the game, which they call an Age. You can try out 6 of 9 types of gladiators, see 7 of 13 buildings, and level cap is at 5 (full version is 15). It’s not the full game, but it already has enough content to show how game works.

Good One for People Who Like Tactical RPGs

If you have played games like XCOM, Darkest Dungeon, or Battle Brothers, this could feel like something similar. There is deep tactics, hard decisions, and real consequences for mistakes. The world also has a dark mode which matches with the combat style.

Bloodgrounds is supposed to release in 2025 for PC players on Steam. Trailer is already up and the demo can be tried now. Fans of hard strategy and dark stories may want to give it a look and see how their gladiators survive—or don’t.
