Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Release Date Leaked: Everything You Need to Know

  • India Today Gaming
  • July 19, 2025 (UPDATED: July 19, 2025 01:06 IST)

A new leak suggests Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 may release on November 14, 2025. Here’s everything we know about the date, story, gameplay, and more.

There have been many leaks in the past several days about the possible release date of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is going ahead in its advanced stages of development, but recently, one of the most reliable sources provided one.

It is said, according to that same leaker, that the game might come as soon as this year. However, Activision developers have yet to confirm this.

Leaked Release Date and More

A famous leaker known as TheGhostOfHope wrote on X that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 possibly can be released on November 14, 2025, all around the world. If this leak is true, it can be the latest release date for any Call of Duty game so far. It would even come out one day later than Black Ops Cold War, which launched on November 13, 2020.

Why might it be a matter of a mid-November date? The usual schedule that is used by the company for game releases for Call of Duty tends to fall between early and mid-November to capitalize on the huge shopping rush during the holidays.

For example, Black Ops 6 began selling on October 25, 2024, with Modern Warfare III arriving on November 10, 2023.

Perhaps Activision has some plan behind this slight shift in time that we don’t know yet, related to development timelines, or it might be more of an intentional shift when it comes to marketing and exposure avenues.

Another early leak offered a quick look at what Black Ops 7 could offer. With a timeframe set at 2035, the game continues the story from Black Ops 2. Players, with David Mason and his team, will be on missions set in places like future Japan and some city called Avalon.

The movement-based gameplay is supposed to be more grounded, as jazzed-up jetpacks and slick wall-running movements are to be officially sidelined. Other things mentioned were new multiplayer modes, co-op story missions, and the return of the famous round-based mode known as Zombies.
