Clash Royale’s February update nerfs Royal Chef and P.E.K.K.A while buffing Fire Spirit and Musketeer. Check out the latest balance changes.
Clash Royale’s latest balance update adjusts several cards to refine the meta, targeting overpowered strategies and underperforming troops. Key changes include nerfs to Dart Goblin, Goblinstein, P.E.K.K.A, and Royal Chef, while Fire Spirit, Musketeer, and Giant Snowball Evolution receive buffs.
Major Nerfs Reshape the Meta Of CR
Dart Goblin’s ranged damage drops from 142 to 135, rolling back its previous buff to curb Spell Bait decks. Despite the nerf, it still eliminates Spear Goblins in one hit. Goblinstein’s Monster loses 8% hitpoints, further balancing the card after its Doctor variant was adjusted last month.
P.E.K.K.A sees a significant range reduction from 1.6 to 1.2 tiles, reversing a past buff that made it too powerful alongside Wizard Evolution, Battle Ram Evolution, and other strong cards. Lava Hound’s Lava Pups damage drops 7%, targeting its synergy with Royal Chef. Goblin Giant Evolution’s goblin spawn speed slows down by 20%, reducing its pressure.
Royal Chef, a dominant force in the game, undergoes multiple changes. Cooking time now takes longer (24-40s instead of 18-30s), and hit speed slows from 0.9s to 1s. Additionally, once a Tower falls, Royal Chef cooks even slower to prevent players from sacrificing Towers for aggressive plays. Its buff threshold increases, ensuring pancakes are used more strategically.
Buffs Bring Underperforming Cards Back
Fire Spirit receives a range boost from 2 to 2.5 tiles, making it more consistent with Ice Spirit and Electro Spirit. Musketeer’s first hit speed improves by 13%, benefiting her and Three Musketeers. Giant Snowball Evolution’s roll distance extends from 4 to 4.5 tiles, making its ability more effective.
Bug Fixes Improve Game Stability
Lumberjack Evolution no longer gets instantly destroyed by certain spells. Audio issues with Berserker and enemy Lumberjack Evolution have also been fixed.
