COD: Double XP Weekend Hits Black Ops 6 & Warzone on June 19 - Black Ops 7 News Too

Call of Duty fans can gear up for a Double XP weekend in Black Ops 6 and Warzone starting June 19. Plus, here’s what we know about Black Ops 7, set in 2035 and continuing the Black Ops 2 legacy.

A fresh Double XP event is dropping into both Black Ops 6 and Warzone starting Thursday, June 19. That means it's the perfect weekend to grind levels, unlock gear, and stack up that progression—whether you're blasting zombies, battling it out in multiplayer, or dropping into the chaos of Warzone.

Double the XP, Double the Grind

Treyarch Studios just updated the in-game event tab with all the info you need. The Double XP weekend kicks off on June 19 and is expected to run through Monday, June 23. While they haven’t locked in the end date officially, this typical four-day format is what fans have come to expect.

And while it’s confirmed that Double XP is on the way, we’re still waiting to hear whether this weekend will also include Double Weapon XP or Double Battle Pass XP. Since Season 4 is still relatively new, chances are the Battle Pass bonus XP will show up closer to the end of the season instead.

Season 4 Still Finding Its Footing

The launch of Season 4 for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone came with its fair share of excitement... and bugs. Players were hyped for new content but got hit with performance issues, glitches, and some frustrating stability problems. Treyarch has been working to smooth things over with patches and hotfixes, and the Double XP weekend might just be their way of saying, “Hey, we got you.”

Black Ops 7 on the Horizon

While Black Ops 6 is still getting content love, Treyarch is already ramping up for the next big thing: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Officially revealed earlier this month, BO7 is set in 2035 and acts as a direct sequel to Black Ops 2, bringing back fan-favorite characters like David Mason and Raul Menendez.

The game doesn’t have a confirmed release date just yet, but based on tradition, expect it to drop sometime around late October or early November. And yes, it’s going cross-gen—launching on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
