Deadpool VR Game Revealed for Meta Quest 3; All You Need to Know

  • India Today Gaming
  • June 08, 2025 (UPDATED: June 08, 2025 04:25 IST)

Deadpool VR arrives exclusively on Meta Quest 3/3S in late 2025 with chaotic combat, Neil Patrick Harris, and insane Marvel action.

At Summer Game Fest 2025, where many big reveals happened, one thing stood out more strangely than others: Deadpool VR is real now. And no, this ain’t just another superhero thing. Between Silksong teasing and a weird jab at Insomniac’s Spider-Man, this announcement kind of stole the whole show. Twisted Pixel is teaming up with Oculus Studios and Marvel to bring the Merc with a Mouth into your headset. But sorry if you don’t have Meta Quest 3 or 3S because that’s the only place you’ll get to play this madness.

An Idea Long Time in the Making

This VR game, people said, was inspired by Twisted Pixel’s old game called Path of the Warrior. That game may not have got too famous, but this one’s aiming higher. You’ll be travelling through many Marvel-style places, fighting both popular and unknown bad guys. It’s not just “VR stuff,” it’s like you jumping into a comic book gone mad.

Gameplay Looks Nuts, In a Fun Way

The trailer showed Deadpool doing, well, a lot. He’s seen using some kind of electric whip that looks like something from Bulletstorm, throwing small knives, and pushing enemies into fan blades, yeah, literally. The whole thing pops with comic effects and lots of boom and bam stuff flying around the screen.

You also don’t fight normally. You can use a grenade as a punching glove, or maybe just throw your own exploded arm at someone, if you want. Creepy creatures like reptile soldiers and demon-like dogs wait for you to come and, let’s say, get creative.

Deadpool Voiced by a Surprising Actor

Interestingly, Deadpool is voiced by Neil Patrick Harris, not who people expected, maybe. He was famous for How I Met Your Mother and played Count Olaf in Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. Here, in the Red Band trailer, he really shows a new edge. His voice fits strangely perfectly for Deadpool’s weird and edgy lines.

Release Window and Platform Details

Right now, there’s no confirmed release date, but they said it will come in late 2025. If you don’t have Meta Quest 3 or the newer Quest 3S, you're out of luck. The game’s not coming to PC VR or older Quest headsets, at least for now.

Meta even said in their official press note, “If you can imagine it, you can probably do it,” and looking at what’s shown, that might be weirdly true.
