Diablo 4 Patch 2.3.2 to Fix Season 9 Bugs in Nightmare Dungeons, Quests, and More

Blizzard's Diablo 4 Patch 2.3.2 brings vital fixes to broken Season 9 content, resolving dungeon bugs, quest issues, and improving gameplay flow.

Blizzard will be releasing Patch 2.3.2 of Diablo 4 on July 29, 2025, across PlayStation, PC, and Xbox consoles. The update is supposed to mostly address bugs that have been bothering players since Season 9 started, especially in the “Sins of the Horadrim” content. Dungeons like Escalating Nightmare and things called Strongrooms had issues that have now been tried to resolve.

Problems are Getting Fixed

Escalating Nightmare Dungeons was getting buggy in lots of places. The chest rewards didn’t appear many times, and sometimes the bosses or the event affixes would not show up like they should. Now those bugs have been fixed mostly, and if a dungeon and a strongroom shared the same boss, it won't glitch anymore. They also fixed some other issues where Equipment Delve would not give the reward chest or where the enemy got stuck in place.

Quest Items, Journey Progress, and UI Glitches Addressed

Several quests, such as Wisdom’s Chosen, had major issues. For instance, the Bandit’s Scrawl wouldn’t drop, halting quest progression. In other cases, the Torn Scroll appeared incorrectly. Blizzard now says these quest-related bugs have been addressed.

Another major complaint involved players unlocking multiple Seasonal Journey chapters at once but being unable to claim their rewards. This has reportedly been fixed. Additionally, Horadric Jewels could previously be inserted into incompatible items, something the game will now prevent.

Horadric Waypoint icons were disappearing from the map in some areas; they should now display correctly. Also, in certain boss fights, Astaroth’s voice lines continued looping unnecessarily; this has been corrected. Another fix addresses an issue where the Kirma boss could be pulled outside its boss room, particularly in the Vessel of Hatred area.

Season 9 launched with ambitious features like new spell systems and dungeon upgrades, but technical issues marred the experience for many. Patch 2.3.2 represents Blizzard’s effort to stabilize the game and regain player trust.

For those who quit due to broken quests or glitchy dungeons, this may be a reason to return. Blizzard will release the full patch notes soon, but even these early fixes could meaningfully enhance the player experience.
