Every Major Participations at Gamescom 2025

  • India Today Gaming
  • June 24, 2025 (UPDATED: June 24, 2025 12:40 IST)

Explore all the major confirmed participants at Gamescom 2025, including Xbox, Krafton, Ubisoft, and more. Big reveals, trailers, and new games await!

The gaming world is once again gearing up for one of the biggest events of the year, Gamescom 2025, taking place in Cologne, Germany, from August 20 to 24, with Opening Night Live happening on August 19. Every year, Gamescom brings together game developers, publishers, and fans from around the world, and this year is no different. With some of the industry's biggest names already confirming their participation, Gamescom 2025 is already looking like an event to remember.

Here’s a full rundown of all the major confirmed studios and what they’re expected to bring to the show floor.

Krafton Confirmed Its Participation for Gamescom 2025

South Korea’s gaming powerhouse Krafton will be back at Gamescom 2025 with some exciting content. First off, they’re showing off new expansion content for inZOI, their popular life simulation game that continues to gain popularity for its realistic city-building and life management systems. Krafton has said they’ll reveal updates and improvements that take inZOI closer to a fully immersive life sim experience.

But that’s not all. Krafton is also set to debut a brand-new top-down tactical shooter called PUBG: Blindspot. It’s a fresh take on the shooter genre, focusing on fast-paced gunfights, strategic planning, and character-based abilities. Each operator in the game comes with unique weapons and gadgets, which opens up a ton of tactical variety. It’s a big step away from the battle royale format, and it could be a sleeper hit.

Xbox is Attending Gamescom 2025

Next up is Xbox, and they’re coming to Cologne in full force. With so many studios under their banner in 2025, fans can expect a stacked lineup. One of the biggest expected titles is The Outer Worlds 2, which is releasing on October 29, so a brand-new trailer or extended gameplay demo could very well show up at Gamescom. That alone would be big.

There’s also major buzz around Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. While not officially confirmed for a big reveal at Gamescom yet, many insiders think Xbox might use the stage to finally give a release date or multiplayer trailer.

But what everyone’s really hoping for? Ninja Gaiden 4. It’s been teased and rumored for years. With Team Ninja and possibly PlatinumGames involved, fans are expecting a gameplay trailer or even a release window. If that happens at Gamescom, it'll be one of the biggest reveals of the entire show.

Also, under Microsoft’s umbrella, Blizzard Entertainment will be making noise. Blizzard has already confirmed they’ll be bringing World of Warcraft to Gamescom with exclusive updates about the next chapter. That probably means a cinematic trailer, new zone reveal, or even a beta announcement.

Ubisoft

Ubisoft has officially confirmed their attendance too, and it wouldn’t be Gamescom without them teasing something from their blockbuster franchises. Most likely, we’ll see more footage from Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, which is set in feudal Japan. But what fans are really hoping for is news on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. After years of silence, a new trailer or release date might finally be shown, and it’s about time.

Besides the headliners, several more big studios are showing up:

  • Capcom – They’ve already teased the next Resident Evil game. Gamescom might be where we get a first demo or hands-on preview. Fans will be watching closely.
  • Nintendo – While they’ve kept quiet about what they’re bringing, Nintendo often surprises fans with unannounced titles, remakes, or new trailers. Fingers crossed for something Zelda or Metroid-related.
  • Niantic – Known for Pokémon GO and AR titles, Niantic might show new augmented reality features or updates to their ongoing mobile titles.
  • Team17 – Always a fan-favorite in the indie space. Expect quirky, polished titles and maybe a surprise or two from their publishing catalog.
