EWC Free Fire 2025: Schedule, Teams, Prize Pool & More 

The Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 is going to happen in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Garena Free Fire will take the center stage. The event will gather 18 top teams from different regions to compete for the grand prize of $1 million. Following the footsteps of Gamers8 and the massive popularity of the 2024 edition, this year’s tournament is expected to bring even more exciting moments and fierce regional rivalries.

EWC Free Fire 2025 Tournament Format & Schedule

• Knockout Stage (July 16–18): The tournament starts with 18 teams that are split into three groups, each consisting of six teams. They will play a total of 18 matches, and each team will play 12 games through a round-robin format. The best 12 teams will go ahead to the next round, the Point Rush stage.

• Point Rush (July 19): The remaining 12 teams then face off in 6 matches, and during this phase, they will be trying to earn “head start points.” These points are very important as they get carried into the Grand Finals. So, consistency in this part can give teams the upper hand later on.

• Grand Finals (July 20): This is where it all ends. The top 12 teams from Point Rush will now compete in 6 final matches, bringing their previously earned head start points. Under the Champion Rush rule set, the team that gets the highest total score will become the EWC Free Fire 2025 champion.

Teams to Watch

There is a strong mix of experienced and newer teams this year:

• Team Falcons from Thailand will be trying to defend their title after winning in 2024.

• Brazil comes in full force, represented by Fluxo, LOS, Alfa 34, and paiN Gaming, showing again why their region remains one of the strongest.

• From Latin America, Rainbow7 brings a mixed roster with players from Chile, Brazil, and Argentina. Alongside them, VisionSystem SPA also fields talents from Chile, Argentina, and Colombia.

• From the Middle East and South Asia, we have Dragons Esports (Algeria), Hotshot Esports (Pakistan), and RedHawks (Bangladesh), each carrying high hopes.

• Buriram United Esports (Thailand), RRQ Kazu and EVOS Divine (both from Indonesia) represent Southeast Asia, a region always strong in Free Fire.

Prize Pool

The total prize pool of $1 million will be divided among all 18 participating teams. Out of this, $300,000 will go to the winner. Also, teams can earn Club Championship Points, which help determine their position in the global rankings and contribute to the larger EWC prize pool of $27 million across all games.
