Fortnite Death Star Sabotage Event: Time, Rewards, Skins & What to Expect

The Star Wars crossover is returning to Fortnite, but this time it’s not only new outfits or a couple of quests. Epic is doing something bigger this round. The Death Star Sabotage live event will be happening soon, and from what’s out so far, it's going to be one of the more exciting events they’ve done. So here's everything that’s been known until now.

Fortnite Death Star Sabotage Date and Time of the Event

According to Epic Games, the Death Star Sabotage event is set for Saturday, June 8, 2025, and will be starting at 2 PM Eastern Time. It’s been told by the devs that players should log in like 30 minutes early before it all starts, to make sure they don't get locked out of the servers.

It is the final event of the Star Wars: Rise of Rebellion season, which has been running for a few weeks and spread across several Fortnite game modes including the LEGO one.

What Is This Event Actually About?

This event is being described as partly cinematic and partly interactive. Leaks and even a few teasers shows that players could end up working with Leia and some of the Rebels to sneak into the Death Star. Maybe to plant charges or something like that.

It seems like it will be a mission-type gameplay rather than just something to watch, although probably there will be some cutscene-style parts. Possibly the island might change after the event. Epic hasn't confirmed but it’s been hinted.

 

Characters and Event Skins

As the event approaches, new cosmetics are already in the shop. Some of the featured ones are:

• Leia Organa (Rebel version)

• Lando Calrissian

• Some Rebel and Imperial variants

• Special themed items like Lightsabers, Gliders, etc.

There’s also a Death Star Pack which includes some extra things and V-Bucks together. If you’re interested in being part of the event in style, maybe it's a good thing to get.

Event Participation Rewards

Those who show up and take part in the event will receive special limited-time rewards. These includes:

• “Rebel’s Victory” loading screen

• Empire downfall banner icon

• Bonus XP that helps players level quicker before the season’s over

Some leaks said there could be a bonus mini pass with Star Wars challenges after the event, but right now that part isn’t confirmed clearly.

What’s After Sabotage?

Right after this big event, Chapter 5 Season 4 will go live on June 9. No official theme has been told yet, but some rumors say it could go multiverse-style again. Others believe there might be a crash site from the Death Star somewhere on the new island.

In any case, players should keep checking the Fortnite social pages and news for anything else that drops before June 8. Surprises are probably still coming.
