By enabling 2FA, you add an extra layer of security to your Fortnite account, making it more difficult for unauthorized users to gain access.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Fortnite account, helping to protect it from unauthorized access. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to enable 2FA:

Step 1: Log in to Your Epic Games Account

  1. Go to the official Epic Games website and log in to your account.

  2. Click on your account name or avatar at the top right corner of the screen and select "Account".

Step 2: Access Security Settings

  1. Scroll down to the "Password & Security" section.

  2. Click on "Enable Two-Factor Sign In".

Step 3: Choose Your 2FA Method

  1. You will see the available 2FA options: Authenticator App, Email, or SMS.

  2. Choose the method you prefer. For Authenticator App, you can use apps like Google Authenticator, LastPass Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy

Step 4: Set Up Your Preferred Method

  1. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your chosen method. If you choose an Authenticator App, you will need to scan a QR code and enter the code generated by the app.

  2. For Email or SMS, you will receive a security code that you need to enter.

Step 5: Confirm and Save

  1. Once you have entered the code, you should see a success message confirming that 2FA is enabled.

  2. Your account page will be automatically updated to confirm that the authentication method is active.

Additional Tips

  • Make Primary: If you choose more than one authentication method, you can set your preferred method as the primary one by clicking on the three dots (...) next to the method and selecting "Make my primary 2FA method".

  • Keep Your Codes Safe: Store your backup codes in a secure place in case you lose access to your primary 2FA method.

By enabling 2FA, you add an extra layer of security to your Fortnite account, making it more difficult for unauthorized users to gain access.
