Fortnite Leak: New Maps & Fire Grenade for Reload and Ballistic Modes Teased

  • March 06, 2025 (UPDATED: March 06, 2025 17:39 IST)

Fortnite’s Reload and Ballistic modes may soon get new maps, 'DashBerry' and 'Hammer,' along with a Fire Grenade and quality-of-life improvements.

Fortnite’s ever-evolving landscape is about to get even bigger, as a trusted leaker has hinted at new maps coming to the game’s Reload and Ballistic modes. These updates could also introduce new items, keeping the experience fresh for players who prefer Fortnite’s alternative game modes.

New “DashBerry” Map for Reload

According to Fortnite leaker @Loolo_WRLD, the Reload mode will soon receive a new map codenamed “DashBerry.” While details are scarce, the name seems to reference FlowBerry and SlapBerry-based items found in Fortnite’s world. This has led to speculation that the map may focus on speed-enhancing mechanics or introduce a brand-new DashBerry item.

Why This Matters

  • Reload currently alternates between two small maps every 30 minutes.
  • A third map in the rotation could prevent gameplay from getting repetitive.
  • The update may arrive in the next Fortnite patch, though the exact timing is uncertain.

New “Hammer” Map and Fire Grenade for Ballistic

Ballistic is also set to receive a new map, codenamed “Hammer.” While details on this map remain unclear, Loolo’s leaks suggest that Ballistic will also introduce:

  • A new Fire Grenade
  • Quality-of-life improvements

What This Means for Players

Although Ballistic launched with hype, many players drifted back to Battle Royale over time. Adding a new map and gameplay tweaks could revitalize the mode and bring more players back.

When Will These Updates Drop?

Loolo’s response to speculation was a cryptic “Maybe :)”, leaving the timeline uncertain. However, with Fortnite constantly updating its game modes, these changes may be coming sooner rather than later.

For now, players can keep an eye on future Fortnite patches for official confirmation of these exciting new additions!
