Fortnite Leak Suggests Arrival of DC’s Krypto as Part of Upcoming Cosmetic Line

A recent leak shows that Krypto the Superdog, who’s Superman’s loyal companion, will be featured as part of a future costume set in Chapter 5 Season 3. According to what data miners report, we can expect to see this character in the game around July 2025 together with the upcoming new Superman film.

It implies that Krypto will appear as a back bling, and also become a companion character in the game. Though pets were already part of the game, the upcoming companion cosmetics are going to be more active and engaging than the pets seen in the past. In this situation, Krypto would be there during matches, sticking by the players and possibly demonstrating the special actions that we see from him in the DC Comics.

Available evidence from files revealed details about a throwable item simply called “Krypto Treat.” While this happens, Krypto may join the playing field to help the player and possibly inflict damage when he makes contact with opponents. Even if Epic Games has not made it official, these would be unique to Fortnite since they combine the role of cosmetic with their usefulness in the game.

Since the DC Superman movie is set for a July 11 theater release, Fortnite seems ready to partner again with Warner Bros. to unite pop culture and gaming. Although Kal-El is leading the way, rumors indicate that more DC heroes will show up in the game, for instance, different Superman skins or thematic outfits.

If it turns out to be genuine, Krypto would be the very first DC League pet available in Fortnite, which could mean more dog-themed cosmetics for characters in future. In anticipation of the event, gamers can expect new superhero stories that follow Fortnite’s style of combining multiple types of media.
