Here's everything you need to know about the event, including the date, time, and some things you can do to prepare.
When is the Fortnite Live Event?
The Fortnite live event is scheduled for Saturday, October 5 at the following times:
- 11 AM PDT
- 2 PM EDT
- 7 PM BST
You'll find the countdown timer in the west of Reckless Railways, with a Stark Industries theme marking the event's build-up.
What's Happening in the Event?
While the full details are still a bit mysterious, the event will center around a battle with Doctor Doom. Fortnite's in-game news screen has even given us the ominous message: "Prepare for Doom on October 5."
Before the event kicks off, you can get a small head start by completing a hidden quest. Head to the area with the event countdown, and you’ll find Peelverine, one of Fortnite’s quirky characters. Talk to him, and he’ll say, “If we wanna take Doom down like a sack o’ nanas, we’ll need to activate these Beacons.”
Once you interact with the Rift Beacons scattered nearby, you’ll complete the quest and earn yourself a Level Up Token—a nice bonus before the event begins.
How to Prepare for the Event
- Check your Fortnite Sleep Mode settings to ensure you don’t get kicked for inactivity if you're waiting around for the countdown to finish.
- Activate the Rift Beacons to complete Peelverine’s quest and secure a Level Up Token.
