Fortnite Super Showdown Event: Start Time, How to Join, and What to Expect

Fortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 3 finale, the Super Showdown event, drops on August 2, 2025. Get the exact time, how to join, and all the leaks and rumors which includes Superman, Robin, and a possible kraken boss fight.

Fortnite is about to throw one of its signature live events again, and this time, it's looking heroic, chaotic, and packed with surprises. Chapter 6 Season 3 is coming to an end, and the grand finale, which is the Super Showdown event is shaping up to be something big. With Superman and Robin front and center and a mysterious creature brewing trouble, here’s what you need to know.

When Is the Fortnite Super Showdown Event?

The event is set to launch on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The event follows Fortnite’s usual format, where doors “open” ahead of time so everyone can jump in without missing the fun.

  • Lobby opens: 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET / 7:00 PM BST
  • Event starts: 11:30 AM PT / 2:30 PM ET / 7:30 PM BST

There’s no official word on how long it’ll last or whether it’ll be replayed later. So, if you’re planning to witness the action live, make sure you’re ready well before showtime.

How to Join the Event

Joining the Super Showdown event is pretty simple:

  1. Open Fortnite around the “doors open” time.
  2. Look for the Super Showdown playlist, and it’ll pop up on the main menu closer to the start.
  3. If you don’t see it immediately, use the search bar in the Discover tab to find it.

Unlike some past live events that dropped in the middle of regular matches, this one’s getting its own custom playlist. That means no last-minute guesswork or hoping no one eliminates you mid-event.

What’s the Event About?

Details are still pretty hushed up about, but here’s what we do know:

  • The event is focused around Demon’s Domain, which has been teased heavily in recent in-game story bits.
  • A recent teaser showed a giant red "X" marked over Demon’s Domain, and we assume something big is happening there.
  • Superman and Robin will be part of the action, possibly leading the charge in the battle to save the island.

But that’s not all! leaks suggest that a massive kraken-like creature with tentacles may rise from the depths. If that’s true, players might need to team up with the DC duo to fend off this monster in a cinematic, action-packed finale.

What We Know About The Kraken Rumor

Although Epic hasn’t confirmed it, dataminers and leakers have found hints that point to an epic sea creature battle. Just think tentacles wrapping around buildings, tidal waves hitting the island, and explosive combat between superheroes and this otherworldly enemy. If accurate, this could be one of Fortnite’s most memorable boss fights yet.

But What Happens After?

Once the dust settles or the kraken’s ink clear, Chapter 6 Season 4 will roll in shortly after. Players can expect map changes, new skins, and possibly more DC crossover content. Given that Season 3 had a full superhero theme, Season 4 might either wrap it up or launch something entirely different, quite possibly something multiversal?
