Fortnite v36.20 update downtime begins June 15 with Blitz Royale changes and a free Blitz Axe reward.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 Super (v36.20) is due out now, and the update is going to require downtime before it becomes live. It's set for June 15, 2025, and it will be down for approximately two and a half hours. The game goes into maintenance starting at 4:00 am ET and then will return by 6:30 am Eastern Time. That's Epic's story.
Patch leaks reveal that Blitz Royale mode is receiving new content once more. And yes, gamers who play the mode will receive something free: the Blitz Axe. It's adding this time around as a sort of thank-you or as a bonus, depending on your point of view.
Timings for When Servers Go Down
The patch is not coming down the same for everybody globally. For USA players, it's coming early in the morning. But in other places, such as Europe and Asia, the time is different. Here's when downtime starts for various locations:
- 1:00 am PT
- 3:00 am CT
- 4:00 am ET
- 8:00 am GMT
- 9:00 am MET
- 10:00 am EET
The players from Asia and Australia are going to witness the downtime strike more towards the end of the day. In a few areas, it's already afternoon or near evening:
- 1:30 pm IST
- 4:00 pm SGT
- 5:00 pm JST
- 6:00 pm AET
- 9:00 pm SST
Once the Game Starts Again
After Fortnite completes updating, servers will go live once again, and then the players can begin playing the new game. But, just like with downtime, the return time also varies by region.
USA and Europe Launch Times:
- 3:30 am PT
- 5:30 am CT
- 6:30 am ET
- 10:30 am GMT
- 11:30 am MET
- 12:30 pm EET
Asia and Oceania Launch Times:
- 4:00 pm IST
- 6:30 pm SGT
- 8:30 pm AET
- 11:30 pm SST
So once the servers reopen, everybody can log in to the game and see what's new. Blitz Royale is looking particularly promising this time. And with that free Blitz Axe being handed out, players had one more incentive to get back to playing.
