Fortnite x BLACKPINK Jennie Collab: ICON Emote, Jam Track & Coachella 2025 Details

  • April 11, 2025 (UPDATED: April 11, 2025 13:00 IST)

BLACKPINK’s Jennie joins Fortnite in the Coachella 2025 collab with a possible ICON Emote or Jam Track. Here’s everything we know from leaks to fan reactions, plus what to expect in-game.

Fortnite content creator and leaker ShiinaBR broke the internet when posting on X to tease a completely new collab between Fortnite and international K-pop queen Jennie from BLACKPINK. Under the leak (shout out to @SamLeakss and @AyubSeems), Jennie is soon making an entrance to the world of Fortnite—whether as an ICON Emote or a Jam Track—as part of their continued Coachella collab.

The Look, The Vibes, The Energy

The post had a gorgeous pic of Jennie slaying the stylish denim outfit, exuding confidence as usual. The caption? Straight to the point and hype:

The fanbases lost their minds—BLINKs, Fortnite gamers, and music enthusiasts all weighing in with enthusiasm, hot takes, and, of course, the occasional meme.

Coachella Vibes, Fortnite Style

Fortnite’s been vibing with Coachella since way back in Chapter 3: Season 2 (April 2022). From music-reactive outfits to “Coachella Island” in 2023—where players could party in a digital desert dreamland—it’s clear Fortnite knows how to throw a virtual festival. Jennie being part of the 2025 edition? That’s a major flex.

Jennie: K-pop Royalty Goes Solo

Jennie Kim, better known as the style icon, rapper, singer, and original BLACKPINK member, has been dropping power moves left and right. With BLACKPINK's Coachella history (2019 and 2023), chart domination worldwide, and now her solo era in full swing, Jennie's resume just keeps shining.

In 2023, she started her own label—Odd Atelier—and partnered with Columbia Records. Flash forward to March 2025, she released her debut solo album, Ruby, which is loaded with features from Childish Gambino, Dua Lipa, Doechii, and others. Her song "Mantra"? Already topping charts worldwide.

Oh, and did we mention? On the same day that Fortnite was announced, she released a Peggy Gou remix of her song "Like Jennie" with an anime-themed boxing visualizer. Total boss move. What's Coming to Fortnite? Let's Speculate

ICON Emote or Jam Track? Why Not Both?

Fortnite hasn't spilled all the beans yet, but going off past collabs, we're placing our bets on:

  • An ICON Emote: Think about striking one of Jennie's iconic choreos during a battle. Legendary.
  • A Jam Track: "Like Jennie" or its remix might be the next Fortnite Festival mode banger.
  • Perhaps even Coachella-themed cosmetics, outfits, and some sizzling new in-game items.

Fandom Frenzy: The Internet Reacts

Fans were quick to express affection. From "SHE'S MY QUEEN" messages to speculating on a Jennie dance emote, BLINKs and Fortnite fans came together in excitement. Even non-dedicated fans were interested in the fashion-forward teaser.

As with all celeb collaborations, not everybody was thrilled. Some complained about the selection, others referenced previous scandals, and a handful of gamers just were sad their loves weren't included (hi to the dude still holding out for a Gorillaz collaboration). But you can't make every single person happy—and Fortnite obviously has its crowd.

Fortnite's Always Been Ahead of the Curve

Let's get real—Fortnite's not only a game anymore. It's an entertainment empire. From Travis Scott's eye-popping concert to Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and The Weeknd joining the party, Fortnite's created a playground for pop culture.

Jennie getting in on the action? It's a no-brainer. With more than 82.5 million Insta followers, a worldwide fanbase, and a sick Coachella solo performance on the horizon, she's a pop culture juggernaut.

What's Next for the Queen and the Game?

As of this writing, Fortnite hasn't dropped the content—just the tease. But updates tend to come out mid-week, so fans are looking to the next few days (particularly with Coachella weekend starting). Expect Jennie's content to drop soon—and don't count out more Coachella performers making it into the Item Shop as well. Now we’re dreaming big—but hey, we’ve seen Fortnite make magic before. Could Jennie headline a digital stage next? We’re manifesting.

Whether you’re in it for the beats, the skins, or the dance emotes, this Jennie x Fortnite collab is pure pop culture gold. It’s a celebration of creativity and connection—from the deserts of Coachella to Fortnite’s ever-evolving island.

Then, BLINKs and loopers everywhere—get set to vibe.
