Forza Horizon 5 Update Released with PS5 Streaming Fixes, New Cars & Features

The latest Forza Horizon 5 update adds PS5 streaming fixes, new cars, EventLab tools, and bug improvements. Series 35 content now live.

May 28, 2025 — Playground Games have pushed out a new update for Forza Horizon 5 and there’s a bunch of things included. It’s got performance fixes, new content, and strangely enough, some improvements that seems to be meant for PS5 users, even though technically the game isn’t on PS5. The update is already out and ready to download.

Some Fixes for PS5, Even Though It’s Not On There

So this part’s a little odd. Forza Horizon 5 doesn’t have a PS5 version, but people who play it through Xbox Cloud Gaming on their PS5s using browser mode apparently got some help in this update.

There were issues with controller delay and kinda stutter-y frame rate. Now, those things are supposedly fixed or at least better. DualSense works smoother and there’s improvements in general stability while playing it streamed. It’s not a perfect experience still, but these small tweaks does help make it more playable.

New Cars and EventLab Changes

As always, the new update also comes with cars and content. They added 4 more vehicles — standout ones include the 2024 Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut (super fast) and the classic 1993 Toyota Supra GT300, which fans been asking for. These are gonna show up through Series 35’s Festival Playlist events over the coming weeks.

Also, EventLab gets more stuff again. There’s new scaling for props, and weather can be set to change during the race. This is gonna help creators make better tracks and fun challenges. It’s nice to see they’re still updating this part of the game so much.

Bugs and Technical Stuff Got Fixed

A lot of small bugs are fixed now. Like, people were having game crashes in Horizon Arcade — that’s been addressed. Replay mode had audio not lining up properly, so now it should work. On Series X and PC, shadows were acting weird, and that’s now better.

Also, AI cars in traffic were being kind of unpredictable during races and would hit players, so they tried to improve how they behave. These fixes aren’t dramatic, but it’s those kinds of changes that makes gameplay feel smoother overall.

Teasers for Series 36 Already Out There

Even though this update is focused on Series 35, there’s already signs pointing at what’s next. Dataminers found files about a new location called Sierra Verde, with hints that it’ll be all about off-road races. There could even be a whole new festival site launching when Series 36 arrives in June.

It’s pretty impressive how Forza Horizon 5 still gets these big updates, even this long after release. Whether you play on Xbox, PC, or stream it in weird ways on PS5, there’s still plenty happening.
