FragPunk bans 310 players for cheating; 2 more penalized for teaming with offenders.
In a continued effort to maintain the integrity of its competitive environment, FragPunk developer Bad Guitar Studio has moved to take strong action against cheaters. From April 28 to May 4, the studio banned for life 310 accounts that were convicted of cheating with programs and other forms of unfair gameplay.
The enforcement is a result of ongoing monitoring by the game's Anti-Cheat team, which uses automated detection systems in conjunction with manual checks to detect and resolve violations. All disciplinary actions, according to the developers, are backed by explicit evidence and implemented in line with the User Agreement.
Aside from the bans, two additional accounts were punished for conspiring with established cheaters. These accounts have been banned from matchmaking queues and had their illegally obtained ranked points revoked.
Bad Guitar Studio reaffirmed its hard line against cheating, reiterating its dedication to a fair and open gaming community in which achievement is based on ability, not trickery.
The studio asked all the players to maintain competitive standards and avoid any behavior that compromises fair play. Developers reiterated that their anti-cheat measures will keep upgrading to discourage and act against future assaults on the integrity of the game.
