FragPunk Bans Over 140 Players in Ongoing Crackdown Against Cheating

  • June 13, 2025 (UPDATED: June 13, 2025 21:25 IST)

FragPunk bans 143 players for cheating, reinforcing commitment to fair competitive play.

Bad Guitar Studio has gone ahead with another large round of bans in FragPunk, this time removing 143 players from the game between June 2 to June 8, 2025. These bans are part of the studio’s ongoing move to keep the game clean, fair, and more enjoyable for everyone who plays.

The studio said those accounts were caught using different kinds of cheating software and other unfair actions that harms the natural game experience. The anti-cheat team used system scans combined with manual reviews to confirm each violation. According to the update, all actions were based on proof and matched with what the game’s rules allow.

Besides the main bans, two more accounts were hit with restrictions after they was found teaming with known cheaters in ranked matches. Those players had all their wrongly earned ranked points taken away and can’t join matchmaking queues anymore.

Bad Guitar Studio again made it clear they will not ignore such behavior. “We count on everyone to help protect fair play,” the studio said, adding that their team will stay alert against people trying to break the system. The goal, they said, is to keep matches focused on real skills instead of shortcuts.

Even though a complete list of banned usernames was shared publicly, the studio avoided sharing any details that could identify someone personally. They say it’s about being transparent and also sending a message that cheating has consequences.

The studio is also asking players to report anything they hear or see about cheat creators or sellers, offering a direct email for this purpose. This cooperation, they believe, is important to stay ahead of cheaters.
