Fragpunk Season 2 Release Date, New Lancer Hurricane & Map Details

Bad Guitar Studio and NetEase-developed Fragpunk, the adrenaline-pumping FPS hero shooter, is set to be the battleground for Season 2 chaos. It had its time to shine with a blast of a debut, and now shall delve deeper into the depths with new content, including a powerful Lancer known as Hurricane, dynamic maps, a new soon-to-be PvE zombie event, and limited-time rewards. Whether you fancy the sharpshooting competition or the high-mobility tactics, Season 2: Rising Tempest has something thrilling for everyone.

New Lancer: Hurricane

 

The official release date for Fragpunk Season 2 is June 26, 2025, on Consoles and PC. This season will begin shortly after the conclusion of the Global Invitational LAN event. Like the first season, players will be treated with constant content drops, new features, and weekly in-game rewards to keep their excitement levels running high.

The most anticipated change is a new Lancer for Season 2, Hurricane, the storm and chaos-themed anthropomorphic Lancer. Interrupting and controlling the battlefield is how Hurricane rolls, so if you enjoy creating chaos for your enemies, he's your man.

Respectively, a quick check on the Hurricane ability kit:

 

• Cyclone Storm: Emits swirling smoke that obstructs the enemies' vision: Prime time to ambush or escape.

• Wall-Bounce Flash: This is one tactical flash with which you can blind enemies in tight corridors.

• Heroic Onslaught (Ultimate): Still very vague; it is supposed to be powerful area control, probably some wind shenanigans.

 

New Maps: Zomna and Outbreak

 

 

Two new maps are being added as battlegrounds for Fragpunk:

• Zomna: Floating, architecturally immersive port city-style map focusing on vertical fights. Features a multidirectional zipline system for players to engage in high-skill movement: sky-high portals for those aggressive mobile players that live for dynamic environments!

• Outbreak (PvE Mode): Set in Jungle Prison, Outbreak has a zombie-themed survival mode. Players will team up against waves of enemy spawns to complete objectives in a PvE setting, offering players an extra helping of a break from your typical PvP.

 

Seasonal Content and Battle Pass

 

 

Alongside the new Lancer and maps, Fragpunk Season 2 also brings the Phantom Fleet Bundle, brimming with new weapon skins and cosmetics inspired by the naval and ghostly aesthetics.

And of course, the yearly Battle Pass has returned, promising weekly unlocks, unique rewards for the season, and event-based challenges to continue rewarding players throughout the season. Fragpunk Season 2, titled "Rising Tempest", is promising to take gameplay elements and new heroes, modes, and traversal systems higher.
