Garena has opened up access to the Advance Server for its popular battle royale game, Free Fire. The test server, intended to provide selected players with early access to new content from the impending Free Fire OB49 Advance Server update, is now available to download and will be active until 16 May 2025.
The OB49 Advance Server lets users experience upcoming changes in gameplay, features, and enhancements ahead of time, before a global launch. Early access is just another attempt from Garena at seeking user input and catching bugs prior to launch.
Free Fire OB49 Advance Server Registration Process and Access Instructions
Interested gamers have to sign up through the official Free Fire Advance Server site (ff-advance.ff.garena.com). Signing up involves logging in through an account that is associated with Free Fire through Facebook or Google. After logging in, the user has to fill out a form with their name, email address, region, and Free Fire Player ID.
Once the form has been submitted, applicants will be sent a confirmation message. Access to Advance Server, though, is not given to every registrar. Garena usually only provides entry for a limited amount of players. Selected participants will be given a specific activation code, which will be either sent via the registered email or through an in-game notification.
All participants are encouraged to keep an eye on both their inboxes (spam folders) and Free Fire notification for updates on their selection status.
Advance Server Period
OB49 Advance Server opened on 6 May 2025 and will close on 16 May 2025. Within this time frame, selected testers will have access to unreleased content and report bugs or comments directly to Garena to help hone the experience for everyone.
This continues Garena's steady pattern of community involvement and incremental testing, further affirming its dedication to game polishing via user input.
