The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Finals 2024 was a big hit with fans worldwide, getting an impressive audience and delivering some unforgettable moments. This year’s event still showed how Free Fire is continuing to grow in popularity.

This year’s finals hit a peak viewership of 1,326,153 is way ahead of other recent tournaments like the Esports World Cup (471,483) and last year’s Free Fire World Series 2023. On top of that, the event kept fans hooked with an average of 252,436 viewers throughout—better than the Esports World Cup and the 2023 Series. 

Fans Show Up for Their Teams

Brazilian fans came out in full force to support their home team, Fluxo. The Portuguese stream led the way with 436,153 viewers, followed by Vietnamese (192,397) and Spanish (98,364) streams, highlighting how global Free Fire has become.

In terms of platforms, YouTube dominated with a whopping 566,005 peak viewers. TikTok Live made a strong showing too, pulling in 142,259 viewers, while Twitch lagged with 36,884 viewers. Smaller platforms like Big Live and Kick had minor contributions, with just a few thousand viewers each.

A Grand Finals to Remember

The Grand Finals were the most exciting part of the event, with 12 teams battling it out over six intense matches. In the end,  Fluxo, a Brazilian powerhouse, came out on top, taking home a massive $300,000 (~£239,000) from the $1 million prize pool. RRQ Kazu from Indonesia took second place, proving once again that Southeast Asia is a force to be reckoned with in Free Fire.

Another Milestone for Free Fire

The FFWS Finals 2024 became the 15th most-watched Free Fire event in history. It didn’t break records, but it still showcased just how much fans love this game, especially in regions like Brazil, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

Still Far Away From the Golden Age

However, Free Fire World Series Finals 2024 couldn't break the all-time viewership record set by the 2021 Singapore World Series (5.4 million peak viewers). This FFWS is rapidly regaining its viewership, but there is still, a long way to reach and surpass its all-time high of the golden age.
