Genshin Impact 5.7 Stygian Onslaught Guide: Best Teams, Strategy, and All Rewards

Genshin Impact version 5.7 has released the Stygian Onslaught, a limited time but complex combat challenge aiming to challenge the overall tactical abilities and elemental combos of the players. Being available between June 25 and July 29, 2025, this endgame mode will be unlockable on a completion of the quest named the Tumult Subduer and will consist of three separate battlefields. Each part has its own mechanics that require a specific approach and the lineup to work.

Stage Overview and Best Teams

Battlefield 1: Hydro Tulpa

In this phase, there is the boss which spawns healing orbs and small Tulpas. In order to avoid its regeneration, the mini-entities should be promptly destroyed by the players with the help of Cryo or Freeze reactions. 
The recommended team for this phase is Mavuika and Xilonen as Pyro DPS, Citlali as Cryo support and crowd controls, and Bennett as DPS support-healer with Pyro resonance.

This fight is based on the regular use of the Pyro to put the Overburn effect on the enemy, which makes them very vulnerable. A perfect team would include Kinich (Pyro DPS), Emilie (Dendro support to Burgeon reactions), Xiangling, and once more Bennett, whose support kit is still priceless.

Every now and then, the automaton has Flow Momentum improving its defense. Players are required to interrupt this by using regular Cryo incantations. An example of a suggested team consists of Skirk or Shenhe as Cryo-centered DPS, Furina to benefit greatly in terms of Hydro buff, and Escoffier to enable Cryo off-field effects and recovery.

• Lone players must be concerned with appropriate rotations and standing behind the shield; co-op can occur only at first three ranges.

The Stygian Onslaught is not merely a contest of power, but a contest of wits, timing and atmospherics. It will offer one of the richest battles so far in the Genshin Impact by offering outstanding rewards and intricate challenges.
