Genshin Impact 5.7 Update Release Time, Maintenance Schedule, and What’s New

Genshin Impact 5.7 releases on June 18 with 5-hour maintenance, free Primogems, new characters like Skirk and Dahlia, and major gameplay changes.

The HoYoverse already say the Update 5.7 is coming soon, and it going to start maintenance first. This article try to tell you when it happening and what you can expect before playing again.

Genshin Impact 5.7 Update Maintenance Details & Time

So, like always, Genshin goes under maintenance before players can get the update. It’s said to begin on June 18, 2025 at 06:00 AM UTC+8, and it might go on for like 5 hours.

Times in your regions (probably):

EDT (East US)	June 17 – 6:00 PM
BST (UK)	June 17 – 11:00 PM
IST (India)	June 18 – 3:30 AM

Players cannot log in while the servers are down. So, just wait a bit and check later.

Release Time After It’s Done

If everything goes okay, then the game will open again after 5 hour.
Like for example, Indian time is about 8:30 AM IST, and in America, it maybe night on June 17.

The new version comes right after that. No need to wait too long.

Free Primogems for Waiting

Because players will be waiting during this time, HoYoverse will give 300 Primogems to say sorry. They give 60 for each hour the server is not up.
But remember, you have to collect them within 30 days or they will not be there anymore.

Preload Option and File Size

Pre-installing the update is also available, so you can save time.

Phones: Around 0.9 GB (smaller if not using English voice maybe).
PC users: About 5.5 GB, especially if more voice packs are included.

Still, a full update download will happen after maintenance, so free some space in your device!

Why It’s on June 18?

Because that’s how HoYoverse does it. Every 6 weeks almost, there’s a new version.
Phase 2 of 5.6 is ending, so that’s when 5.7 is next.

What Will Be New This Time?

Here are some things you might find:

New Characters: Skirk (5-Star), Dahlia (4-Star), also rerun of Shenhe.
Story: There’s Archon Quest “A Space and Time For You” and something about Skirk too.
Events: Many ones – like Battle of Imagined Arrays, Traveler’s Tales, and more stuff.
Changes to the Game: Like, artifact loadouts, Spiral Abyss being updated, better UI, and controller also working smoother.
