Genshin Impact Version 5.8: Livestream and Release Details

Genshin Impact is gearing up again, and this time it’s for Version 5.8, which, as always, comes with its livestream full of teasers, new content announcements, and of course, those limited-time Primogem codes. Whether you’ve been playing non-stop or just checking back in, this update seems like it’ll have a bit of everything. From fresh character reveals to new in-game events, and maybe even hints about the long-awaited Natlan region, there’s a lot that could be packed into this one. Below is everything we’ve found out so far, or at least what’s being talked about.

Genshin Impact 5.8 Livestream Schedule and Where to Watch

So, the livestream for Version 5.8 should be happening on 18th July 2025. Players will be able to watch it on Twitch or YouTube (both are official ones, of course). They always do these livestreams before updates, and this one will not be much different. It usually goes live around 8 AM UTC, that’s about 1:30 PM in India, if anyone’s wondering.

They mostly talk about new characters, some new events, maybe weapons too. Also, they give three redeem codes. That’s 100 Primogems each, sometimes other stuff too.

When is the 5.8 Update Coming Out?

The update it’s likely to be released on 30th July 2025. From what HoYoverse usually does, there will be maintenance happening early, around 6 AM server time. That normally lasts for five hours or so. People will get compensated with Primogems again, usually 300 if it goes long.

If the update goes live without many delays, players can't log in right after. You can also pre-install the patch ahead of time to avoid large downloads later. It saves time, but it still won’t let you play before the update is done.

What Could Be in Version 5.8?

Now, what exactly is coming? That part we don’t fully know yet. Rumours going around say this might be the final version before Natlan, so that means something big, maybe. Some say we’ll get a temporary summer map again. Those are usually fun and a bit weird.

We could see:

• The summer-themed event that only lasts for a few weeks
   

• Character reruns of some favourites
   

• Maybe a new 4-star or 5-star character teased
   

• New limited weapons, trial runs, etc.
   

So, same pattern, more or less, but maybe with a twist.
