Ghast Update in Minecraft – New Creatures, Blocks & More

Ghastling: The ghastling is a baby version of the happy ghast and can be obtained by waterlogging a dried ghast block. These small, floating creatures follow players and have a fondness for snowballs. Feeding them enough snowballs will help them mature into their adult form.

Happy Ghast: Unlike the hostile ghasts of the Nether, the happy ghast is a peaceful mob found in the overworld. It does not shoot fireballs or attack players. Instead, it serves as a mode of transport, capable of soaring across large distances. Once fully grown, players can harness and ride the happy ghast, turning it into a mobile aerial platform.

New Item: Ghast Harness

Besides, this update implements the ghast harness that could be used for hugging and riding this happy ghast. When crafting, it can accompany you with three leather, two glass blocks, and one wool block.

With 16 colors, the harness has perfect and hooking customization options. Equipped, players can use it to explore the overworld as they see fit. The captain of a happy ghast can carry three additional players to explore, making it an invaluable tool for multiplayer exploration.

A Game-Changer for Travel and Survival

Now, with the use of happy ghast and its harness, players have an alternative to elytra for flying. It might not be as fast as gliding, but the ability to carry more than one player and move through high-altitude places makes it an excellent survival world tool.
