The unique anime series Go! Go! Loser Ranger! is returning with its second season on April 13, 2025, exclusively on Disney+. After a successful first season that aired from April to June 2024, the story dives deeper into its bold, anti-hero narrative that flips the superhero genre on its head.

Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Season 2: A Hero Story Turned Upside Down

Unlike your typical team-of-heroes show, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! doesn't stick to the regular good-versus-evil plan. It shows a world where the "heroes" might not be so heroic after all. The anime revolves around Fighter D, the lowest-ranking soldier of a previously defeated villain army, He decides to get revenge by joining the Dragon Keepers, the world’s so-called heroes. But as he rises through the ranks, he discovers shocking realities that disprove all he once thought.

Where to watch Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Season 2 and Plot

It's an adaptation of the original manga by Negi Haruba, the author behind the popular series The Quintessential Quintuplets. It premiered in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2021 and since then has a dedicated fan following. Its fans adore its combination of action, mystery, and dark humor that makes it distinguishable from other run-of-the-mill shonen anime.

Yostar Pictures, a traditional and reputable studio to produce the beautiful animation and innovative story of season 2. It is directed by Keiichi Sato, known for his experience in Tiger & Bunny. Keiichiro Ochi, who recently directed Under Ninja, is responsible for the story composition. Kahoko Koseki created the character designs, giving the series a bold and unique look. The composition of the music is done by Yoshihiro Ike, the genius behind the Akiba Maid War soundtrack, infusing emotion and drama into each scene.

Audiences can look forward to more complex storytelling in Season 2, as Fighter D pursues his mission from deep inside enemy territory. Each episode challenges viewers to ask who the true heroes of the story are and if justice is being done. It's a show that pushes boldly between the boundaries of good and evil, just as Western favorites like The Boys do. Meanwhile, it remains rooted in its Japanese heritage, finding inspiration from such old-school tokusatsu television programs as Super Sentai.

Disney+ will stream the anime worldwide, letting fans everywhere watch new episodes at the same time. This global release shows how popular the show is becoming and makes sure everyone can follow the exciting story as it happens.

Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Season 2 is set to bring lots of action, mystery, and surprises. With a creative team known for bold storytelling, the new season promises to be exciting and full of surprises. If you want an anime that stands out and keeps you guessing, this one’s a must-watch. Don’t miss the exciting return of this unique series on April 13, only on Disney+.
