GTA 6 Story Mode Length Rumoured to Be 45–50 Hours

Before the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, a particularly hot topic was the story mode length. The latest whispers have it that the parent campaign in Rockstar Games' upcoming title would last approximately 45 to 50 hours. While such specs have never been officially uttered by the developers, such speculations somewhat suggest the long-standing tradition Rockstar has enjoyed in providing rich, narrative-based worlds and voluminous content.

How Does This Compare to Previous GTA Titles?

 

 

Compared to the older GTA games, the story length speculated for GTA 6 is putatively longer. GTA 5: 30–35 hours. 

• GTA 4: 30 hours. 

• GTA San Andreas: 35 hours (100%: 100+ hours). 

• GTA Vice City: 25 hours. 

• GTA 3: 20 hours.

 

If their speculations about the 45–50 hour story length are anything to go by, this would be the longest core narrative ever offered in the series, showing Rockstar's intention to focus more on storytelling and gameplay immersion.

What Would Be There?

 

 

There is envisaged to be a mixture of core and optional things counted in this playtime. Based on the previous games of Rockstar, one can expect:

• Main story missions.

• Side missions.

• Strangers and Freaks encounters.

• Random world events.

• Collectables and challenges.

• Hobbies, mini-games, and stunts.

 

Set in a modernised re-creation of Vice City, the game reportedly features two playable protagonists, which could prolong the runtime through split narratives and wider mission variety.

What The Fans Are Hoping For

 

 

Yet, considering the enhancements in graphics, more dynamic behaviours of NPCs, and the further ability of player decision-making, it is to be construed that Rockstar may indeed want to merge a cinematic-level storytelling experience with a living, reactive world.

Although the 45–50 hours of gameplay are unofficial, that brings out the same by which Rockstar has been evolving and polishing its open-world formula. If this is true, then GTA 6 will be the most ambitious story mode that the studio has attempted to date, thereby setting a new dimension in the franchise. Meanwhile, until details are made official, the fans will engage in endless speculation, but all signs point to it being huge and unforgettable.
