Honkai: Star Rail Announces Fate/Stay Night Crossover Featuring Free 5-Star Character

HoYoverse officially revealed its very first collaboration for Honkai: Star Rail, partnering with Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works for a huge crossover that will be released on July 11. Dubbed "Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail," the event will see two legendary characters from the Fate series, Saber and Archer, added as new five-star playable units.

The collaboration was announced at the conclusion of a recent Honkai: Star Rail concert and represents a major milestone for the sci-fi RPG. Archer, a Quantum Hunt character, will be free to obtain as a limited-time login reward during Version 3.6. Saber, on the other hand, is added to the lineup as a Wind Destruction character and will be obtainable via the event's character banner.

Aside from the new characters, the game will also feature a special event known as the "Penaconian Holy Grail War." Players will revisit the dream world of Penacony to engage in a competition based on the Holy Grail War of the Fate series. The event will incorporate major elements from the original material, such as Heroic Spirits, Command Seals, and Noble Phantasms, reimagined to suit Honkai: Star Rail's sci-fi environment.

The crossover comes on the heels of a busy first half of 2025 for the title, which has seen the inclusion of the new world Amphoreus and a series of limited-time events and character releases. HoYoverse also just marked the anniversary of the game with bountiful rewards like 20 Star Rail Special Passes and 1,600 Stellar Jades for all players.
