Honor of Kings is stepping up its global esports ambitions in 2025 with a massive $15 million investment, signaling a bold move to elevate its competitive scene. This strategy focuses on accessibility, expansion, and long-term stability, embracing the mindset that higher risk brings higher rewards. Both professional players and community-level stars will find new opportunities to shine.
James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports at Level Infinite, unveiled these ambitious plans during the Honor of Kings Invitational 2025 Season 3, highlighting the game’s commitment to fostering fresh talent and establishing a global competitive ecosystem.
Upcoming Tournaments
Honor of Kings is building a robust esports structure with seven professional leagues and three major global tournaments:
- Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3
- Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC)
- HOK International Championship
The seven pro leagues will cover key regions, including:
- Philippines
- Malaysia
- Indonesia
- Brazil
- Major East
- Major West
- Wildcard Kings League
Community Support & Grassroots Growth
In addition to the pro leagues, grassroots-level competitions like the Open Series and The Campus Series (KCS) will provide aspiring players with a pathway to the professional scene. Yang emphasized the importance of community involvement, stating:
"For it to grow into a major competitive scene, we need continued support from the community, media, and fans."
