Learn how to customize your team's tactics in FIFA Mobile, with tips on build-up play, offense, defense, and player selection to enhance your team's performance and adapt during matches.
Tactical customization is simply the best that allows you to finally tune up your squad and have it play exactly as you will want. If your style is more toward keeping ball possession or quickly counter attacking, with the right settings, your team becomes Transformable to perform the way you will want.
Below is how to go about it for better results.
How to Customize Your Team’s Tactics in FIFA Mobile
Access and Create Custom Tactics
To start, the first thing is go to My Team on the main screen and choose Tactics. There, you will have the opportunity to create from scratch new tactics or edit already-created tactics. You can really get into the weeds here, adjusting everything from how quickly your team pushes forward to how aggressive your defense is. The great thing about FIFA Mobile is that it allows for many different tactical set-ups to be stored in system memory, so you can take them out and swap them in mid-game whenever needed.
Understanding the Tactical Components
Tactics in FIFA Mobile can be broken down into three main categories: build-up play, offense, and defense. Each of these has a bunch of different settings that give you full control over how your team plays.
When it comes to build-up play, you’re deciding how fast your team moves the ball, how far they pass, and their general mentality. If you want a more patient approach, you can slow things down and focus on short, controlled passes. But if you’re looking to counter quickly, increasing the speed and passing distance will help you break quickly.
For offense, this section controls how your team creates chances. Are they crossing the ball often, or making runs through the defense with through balls? You can even adjust how often they take shots and from where. If you’re a fan of long-range shots, make sure to tweak this setting.
Lastly, defense is where you can control how aggressive your team is when pressing the opponent. You can set the pressure level, how aggressive your tackles are, and the width of your defensive line. A higher defensive line puts pressure on the opponent, while a deeper line can help you counter better when playing on the back foot.
Choosing the Appropriate Formation
Selecting the optimal formation is most important in executing your tactics. A 4-3-3 Attack, for instance, will suit if you wish to play on the wings and encourage your full-backs to make attacking runs. If you like a balanced system, then perhaps the 4-2-3-1 Wide would suit you better. However, the 3-5-2 formation provides greater midfield control and is ideal if you wish to interchange between attacking and defending.
Adjusting Tactics In Matches
One of the best things about FIFA Mobile is how you can change tactics while playing a game. If you are ahead and want to play defensively, switch to a defensive tactic easily. In case you need goals, switch to an attacking strategy. Such a useful thing, especially when the flow of the game suddenly changes!
Player Selection and Attributes
Your tactics will not work without the right set of players performing their duties. Make sure you are selecting players who possess attributes that suit your style of play. Long shots will become so much more effective with a midfielder who has the "Long Shot Taker" attribute. If you are looking for a little extra flair with passing and assists out of the midfield, then having "Playmaker" types can help too.
Practice and Tuning
You can now test your tactics in several scenarios. You might not get everything set on the first go, but that is fine. It's a whole different thing altogether to practice knowing how your tactical adjustments affect your gameplay. The more games you play, the better you will become at making those tactical adjustments against different opponents or situations.
