IGDC 2023: An insightful interview with Mr. Rishi Alwani of Super Gaming

Q1 How was IGDC to your organization and how important it is for the Indian Gaming Ecosystem?

IGDC is a premium event for the Indian Gaming Industry. It is a place we come to every single year.  I think it is a great place to go and meet the entire gaming industry at once. It is a great place to see what the new gaming developers are building and for us this time it was shown Indus. We do a lot of plates that fit Indus.

Q2 What do you think these kinds of events can do to Indian Gaming?

I think it is necessary to have these kinds of events as they allow more talent on the surface. In the last two days, I have seen a lot of Indian games and talent that I am surprised even exist. It has reached a point where there is so much democratization of information that it is not only from Tier 1 cities. There is a game called No Exit which is based on shooting zombies while riding a bike. It's a solo project. So we have cool developers making cool games and I think Publishers and VCs are always looking for the next best thing to put their money into as a face that you have conversions of Indus and startups which makes a perfect combination. 

Q3 Do you guys look at this event as a talent hub?

Partly yes because it is the biggest gaming event held in India. All kinds of partnerships, getting feedback, talent hub, and multiple objectives combined in a single event.

Q4 How has the audience shown up for the Indus? What was your expectation? What should we look out for because we have already covered up Indus in multiple articles so far? What is something you have brought together and what is the big news here?

We have Indus coming to fortnight so that's a big new thing we have announced over a year. Crystal and Pinky from our team over a month have brought Indus 2 Fortnite using UEFM which looks beautiful. That's a big thing being able to take Indus to a lot more places.
