IShowSpeed Officially Returns to Twitch After Longstanding Ban Lifted in 2025

  • July 07, 2025 (UPDATED: July 07, 2025 07:59 IST)

IShowSpeed’s Twitch ban has been lifted after nearly four years. Fans await his return as the popular streamer regains access to the platform.

So, now, it seems like Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. is finally coming back to Twitch again after being banned for a long time. He got his account suspended back in 2021, and now, reports say that Twitch removed that ban recently. This means he can stream there once more, after such a long absence.

Twitch Signs Huge Deal with YouTuber IShowSpeed

Twitch let him back; technically, he can return to livestreams there. But whether he will or not, that still has not been confirmed. The platform is ready for him, yes, but is he ready for it again? That’s what many people are wondering.

Some fans are happy with this. They miss his wild energy, those unpredictable reactions he always has. But not everyone feels the same. Others are being more careful about it, saying Twitch should’ve stayed strict, considering the kind of trouble that happened before. And also, even if he comes back, nobody knows if it’s gonna be often. He might stream sometimes only, or just join collabs. Because let’s be honest, his whole brand now is way bigger than just Twitch.

What Happened Back Then

Back in December 2021, the ban occurred due to a moment on another streamer’s show, Adin Ross’s livestream, to be specific. There, Speed did something Twitch considered inappropriate. They called it “sexual intimidation” or something like that, which is why they blocked his account permanently.
Since then, he hasn’t been on Twitch at all and has focused on YouTube instead. He blew up there. Like, he got millions of subscribers, and his videos started going everywhere. So even though he was banned from Twitch, he still became one of the biggest streamers in the world.

To say clearly, IShowSpeed can now stream on Twitch, and fans are waiting to see what’s next. But how this all plays out, only time tells. Either way, it’s going to be loud. That’s almost certain.
