Kyedae just announced she’s stepping back from full-time streaming. With health issues and shifting priorities, her decision to quit streaming full time is stirring up mixed reactions. Was her response to trolls justified?
It’s official. If you were keeping up with kyedae, you would have noticed her name popping up less and less on Twitch’s streaming platform and finally the bomb was dropped. kyedae officially told the world that she will no longer be streaming full time. Let’s get into it.
Kyedae Quits Streaming For THIS Reason
Everyone has goals they make as a child and a lot of times, those goals end up becoming unchecked dreams and for Kyedae- streaming was never her dream career. In fact before all this, she was actually on the path of med school- which she ultimately ended up pausing to give streaming a real shot. Yet, overtime it just..stopped feeling right to her. Resentment started creeping in and now after years of discussing and thinking about it, she's called it quits.
She also revealed the break was partly due to shifting priorities; like her decision to compete in Game Changers and the other, due to recent health issues. Kyedae is also no stranger to sharing her health history with her fans and this news thus, may be something some fans may already have an inkling of. Yet, her announcement led to mixed reactions and - troll comments, which Kyedae shot back at. Least to say, shots were fired.
Kyedae’s Response
Popularity comes with fame and fame comes with hate. Love it or hate it- it’s in the trade and among the well wishing comments- one in particular, stuck out like a sore thumb. The tweet responded to Kyedae’s announcement with a blunt “we do NOT care bro i promise 🙏”, and instead of ignoring it, Kyedae replied with: “LMAOOOOO keep urself safe bro”
Now, on its own, that might just seem like a sarcastic comment towards a troll. After all, you can’t dish something out, without expecting it in turn. Yet her comment raised eyebrows and not for a good reason. A while back, Kyedae reported Lightedits to his university following the Joona and Shahzam drama – and whether or not that was justified, the way she handled it got a lot of attention. So, it’s clear why people are side-eyeing this latest response.
The line between standing up for yourself and feeding the drama gets blurry fast. And while her decision to step back from streaming is totally fair, her response here feels like the kind of thing that invites more negativity – especially when she’s talked about wanting peace and focusing on herself.
After all, haters are gonna hate but at the same time, Kyedae is also entitled to defend herself. What do you think, was Kyedae justified in her response?
