Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – Into the Underworld Quest Bug Fix Coming Soon

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been making waves since its February launch, pulling in great reviews and giving players plenty to explore in medieval Bohemia. But even a well-loved game can hit a snag—and right now, there's a pretty major one frustrating some players.

What’s the Problem?

The glitch affects the main questline, specifically the quest called Into the Underworld. The mission requires players to track down an NPC named Goatskin, but here’s the kicker—he’s just not showing up for some people. Without him, the story hits a brick wall, leaving players unable to progress.

Naturally, that’s a huge buzzkill, especially for those deep into the narrative.

Warhorse Studios Confirms a Fix is Coming

Thankfully, Warhorse Studios is on it. Responding to a fan’s post, the studio’s Global PR Manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, confirmed they're aware of the issue and have already cooked up a fix. According to him, the patch will roll out sometime during the week of March 17.

So, fingers crossed, players won’t have to wait long before they can continue their journey.

 

 

Any Workarounds?

Until the official patch lands, Stolz-Zwilling has a couple of suggestions:

• Load an earlier save from before you started the quest.
• Spend some time grinding out side quests.

Of course, if you’ve already clocked in hours of side content after starting the glitchy quest, rolling back might cost you a ton of progress. In that case, your best bet is to sit tight and wait for the patch.

Beyond squashing bugs, Warhorse has some exciting stuff lined up:

• Three paid DLCs coming later in 2025 (dates still under wraps).
• A free Hardcore Mode on the horizon, perfect if you’re craving a serious challenge on your next playthrough.
